Architects spend much of their time in offices, where they develop plans, meet with clients, and consult with engineers and other architects. They also visit construction sites to prepare architectural drafting and review the progress of projects to ensure that clients? objectives are met. About 1 in 5 architects were self-employed as of 2015, and the average salary for architects was $76,100 annually.
There are typically three main steps to becoming a licensed architect: completing a professional degree in architecture, gaining relevant experience through a paid internship, and passing the Architect Registration Examination. A typical bachelor's degree program includes courses in architectural history, building design using architectural drafting software (CADD), structural engineering, construction methods, and professional practices. The design studio is a central component of most architectural programs, where students apply the skills and concepts learned in the classroom to create portfolio drawings and three-dimensional models of their work.

Solar Cell Technology
The Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) leads public research in innovative solar power technologies. Photovoltaic arrays, or PV for short, harness the sun?s power and turn it into electricity. When the sun shines onto a solar panel, photons are absorbed by the cells in the panel, which creates an electric field across the layers. Photovoltaic arrays must be mounted on a stable, durable structure that tilts the PV array at a fixed angle determined by the local latitude. To obtain the highest annual energy output, modules in the northern hemisphere are pointed due south and inclined at an angle equal to the local latitude. Alternatively, automatic mechanisms may be installed to move panels to track the sun across the sky, which provides more energy and a higher return on investment (ROI). Inverters are used to convert the direct current (DC) electricity generated by solar photovoltaic modules into alternating current (AC). Finally, large batteries allow for the storage of solar photovoltaic energy when bad weather blocks sunlight from reaching the photovoltaic panels.
Organic PV, or OPV, cells are composed of carbon-rich polymers and can be tailored to enhance a specific function of the cell, such as sensitivity to a certain type of light. This technology has the theoretical potential to provide electricity at a lower cost than silicon or thin-film technologies. Concentration PV, also known as CPV, focuses sunlight onto a solar cell by using a mirror or lens. By focusing sunlight onto a small area, less PV material is required. This technology uses mirrors to reflect and concentrate sunlight onto receivers that collect solar energy and convert it to heat, which can then be used to produce electricity.
Technical programs are a low-cost alternative to attending a regular four-year university, and you can earn good money as a highly-skilled, technical specialist. If you remain true to your career interests, via University of Pittsburgh soccer schedule, your overall job earnings will increase as you gain experience. If you're currently employed, you can take online technical education classes in your free time to advance your career. Massive Open Online Courses are known as MOOCs, utilizing interactive platforms such as Blackboard, and mobile apps. For example, Khan Academy now offers free lecture videos served through YouTube. Then there's Ferris State chemistry seminars, with enrolled students from around the world.
Financial Aid Information
Government scholarships and Pell grant applications, combined with academic scholarships, only account for a third of total college aid. Student loans, work-study earnings, and personal savings make up the remaining two-thirds. The official FAFSA website is www.fafsa.ed.gov and is free to use. The earliest that the FAFSA form can be filled out is January of a student's senior year. According to the US Department of Education, nearly 45 million Americans incurred student debt during their college career.
Loan programs generally issue loans based on the credit history of the applicant and any co-signer. This is in contrast to federal loan programs that focus on need-based criteria. Financial aid may be administered through CCBC Essex tuition assistance plan. High school grades are the most important factor in gaining admission to the college of your choice, along with letters of recommendation. According to Claflin University associates degree online, an ideal academic record consists of a high GPA in courses of progressive difficulty. FastWeb.com is one of the leading scholarship services online. While local churches or temples may not have the funding to provide scholarships, the organization's headquarters may have student scholarships available.

Business & Engineering Jobs
As the economy improves, many private firms are beginning to hire more technical personnel. Whether you are a new college grad, or have technical experience, this is an excellent time to seek a new career. The Fundamentals of Engineering exam should be taken immediately after earning a bachelors degree from an ABET-accredited program. Engineers who pass this exam are called engineers in training (EIT), or engineer interns. After meeting work experience requirements, engineer interns can attempt a second certifying exam, called the Principles and Practice of Engineering Exam. Taking
Midwestern State University ESL courses, on the other hand, may strengthen your resume in order to appeal to a wider variety of employers.
Hiring managers typically post new jobs on targeted job sites, which we have sampled. Cleveland State Community College workforce development information may be available through the human resources department. Aside from a good salary, many technical education programs include excellent benefits, as well as retirement plans. Browse current job openings below.
